1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SHIELD, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

SHIELD is a personal safety application that provides:

• Bluetooth tracker detection
• Journey monitoring (SafeWalk)
• Emergency panic button
• Smoke alarm detection
• Community safety alerts
• Emergency contact notifications

3. Important Safety Disclaimer

SHIELD is a supplementary safety tool and is not a replacement for emergency services.

In any emergency situation, you should always:

• Call 911 or your local emergency number directly
• Contact local law enforcement for immediate threats
• Seek professional medical attention for health emergencies

We do not guarantee that our app will detect all tracking devices, prevent all emergencies, or function in all circumstances. Technology limitations, device compatibility, and environmental factors may affect performance.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the app only for lawful purposes
• Not use tracker detection to track others without consent
• Provide accurate information for emergency contacts
• Not submit false community threat reports
• Keep your device updated for optimal performance

5. Subscriptions and Payments

SHIELD offers Free, Pro, and Enterprise subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's refund policies

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Intellectual Property

SHIELD and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SHIELD and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the app.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and the app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time for violation of these Terms.
