People copy information between maps, radio logs, chats, spreadsheets, forms, screenshots, and briefings. That works until tempo rises or networks degrade; then the picture fragments and the decision trail becomes hard to defend.

What is new, and why can it succeed now?
The platform is a synthesis layer, not a replacement console.
ATLAS keeps existing systems in place and adds the connective tissue: TAK/CoT style handoffs, feed fusion, AI-assisted summaries when keys are configured, DDIL queueing, route action drills, and proof endpoints. The browser, mobile PWA, and Node/Postgres stack make it deployable without a heavy client install.

Who cares, and what difference does it make?
Operators, emergency managers, evaluators, and citizens get the right lane without a different product.

What are the risks?
Credentials, authority, data quality, and network loss are the real limits.
External AI, S3 corpus sync, and deploy webhooks depend on the owning environment providing keys, buckets, and secrets. Public alerts, official systems, and mission effects require authorized humans. Live feeds can lag or fail. ATLAS must label those conditions instead of pretending they are solved.
