Harvard Foundry Pitch — Canonical Spine

Effective: 2026-06-12
Audience: HBS Foundry cohort, mentors, Catalyst path, deep-tech investors
Voice: Founder + investor readability — NOT DoD PM-contractor voice
Proof: Browser only — https://secureassure.app — no slide deck required
Brand rule: Do NOT use HBS/Harvard marks on public surfaces without explicit operator clearance.

One-liner (open with this)

ISS built the decision layer that keeps working when secrets leak, agencies can't share a picture, or the network dies — live today, not a deck.

Four use cases — DISTINCT (never conflate)

# Use case Buyers Demo
1 Secure decisions — boardroom & facility leaks Boards, agency executives, defense industry, law firms /governance · OPSEC · zone sweep
2 Emergency coordination — three buyers, one bridge Local/state EOCs · National Guard · FEMA federal /em-hub · /tak-bridge
3 Joint combat — worst day JTF, combatant commands, SOF, coalition /sandbox · /gps-denied · airplane mode + ODRA
4 Business operations — logistics, purchasing, analytics COO, supply chain, procurement, compliance /gateway/executive · logistics blueprint

Discipline: UC3 is military/joint only — no FEMA, shelters, or hurricanes in that story. UC2 names all three buyers every time. UC1 is leak + decision custody, not “we certify SCIFs.” UC4 is corporate dialect — same engine as UC1–3; do not pitch as a separate product.

Platform depth — don’t overwhelm investors (iceberg rule)

The site is far richer than three stories. Pitch = 3 disciplines (buyer doors). Product = one composable chassis.

Layer What you say What you don’t do
Pitch (12 min) 3 use cases + 1 decision layer (ODRA/DDIL) Walk 66 modules, 14 categories, or every demo URL
Proof (on request) 66 modules shipping today” — verify at /capabilities or /api/modules/registry Claim “200 modules” as headline without qualifier (see docs/MODULE_COUNT_RECONCILIATION.md)
Depth (follow-up) /evaluate/featured · /prime (10-stop tour) · /compose Dump the full command console on first meeting

Verbatim caveat (use once per pitch):

“I'm showing you three or four disciplines depending on audience — secure decisions, emergency coordination, joint combat, and when it fits, business operations. Underneath is one platform: 66 modules live today, one login, role-based views. I could spend an hour in the console; I'm giving you twelve minutes and the stories that matter for this room. Everything else is self-serve at the URL.”

If pressed “what else can it do?”: “Pick a lane on /evaluate/featured — DDIL, COP, C-UAS, naval, logistics, intel, WFF — or take the /prime tour. Same product, configured for the mission.”

Use case 1 — Secure decisions (leaks)

Problem: Boardroom secrets, M&A, policy, and classified-adjacent work leak via rogue devices, shadow IT, and undocumentable decisions — damage in private sector, government, and defense.

Solution: Software-defined secure-meeting posture + tamper-evident decision custody (ODRA). Honest limit: ISS does not certify physical SCIFs (ICD 705).

30-sec beat: “The boardroom is a battlespace for secrets. We secure the decision and the evidence — not just the drywall.”

Use case 2 — Emergency coordination (local/state · National Guard · FEMA)

Three buyers — say all three

Buyer Role
Local / state County & state Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) — 3,143 counties, ~19,000 municipalities
National Guard Governor-activated Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) — military + civilian seam
FEMA Federal coordination, Public Assistance, mutual aid, CAP/IPAWS

National Guard is the hinge — the only force that must run military systems (TAK) and civilian systems (WebEOC) in the same operation.

Notional Guard force in platform: TX 36th ID, LA 256th IBCT, OK 45th IBCT, AR 39th IBCT — /unit-demo.

Why now — disasters, capacity, coordination, infrastructure (FEMA/state beat)

Use this language in every UC2 pitch:

Disasters are becoming bigger and more frequent. FEMA's declared-disaster rate has risen roughly 400% since the 1980s. Counties and towns lack the capacity to absorb repeated shocks — understaffed EOCs, aging volunteers, mutual aid stretched across jurisdictions. They lack coordination — every agency runs a different platform; the Guard still carries two laptops. And they lack infrastructure — brittle networks fail exactly when Stafford Act documentation and Public Assistance reimbursement require a contemporaneous decision record. We're not selling another dashboard. We're the bridge and the record that survives when everything else fails.

Counterfactual: Shelter floods; federal coordinator learns 47 minutes later. People die in 47 minutes.

90-day entrenchment: Texas Military Department DSCA SOP naming ODRA as after-action record — Adjutant General can authorize without federal approval.

45-sec beat: “Local, Guard, federal — three buyers, one bridge. The soldier who trained for DSCA already knows the interface Monday at the county EOC.”

Use case 3 — Joint combat: one mission, worst day

One joint mission — multiple lines of effort, hybrid attack in multiple places (tone: Black Hawk Down friction, Margah pressure, retrograde under contact — Ukraine/Iran-class EW, drones, denied comms). Not FEMA.

Levels: Strategic (JTF) → Operational (seven warfighting functions + combined arms maneuver) → Tactical (GPS-denied company/battery in notional joint force — all branches in /unit-demo).

Killer demo: Airplane mode → kill chain → ODRA chain. “That's the product.”

Financial framing — THREE FUTURES (one slide; lead conservative)

Operator line (verbatim):

“We model conservatively until the market decides. The middle column is what we execute toward — SBIR to Phase III, Guard SOP entrenchment, and mentor–protégé distribution. The right column is what the market prices if we become the mandated decision layer.”

Conservative (floor) Moderate (plan) Aggressive (upside)
5-yr revenue $15–40M $40–80M $80–150M+
Year 10 ARR ~$10M ~$50–100M $400M–$1B
Year 10 valuation $80–150M $500M–$1.2B $5–15B
Unlock SBIR/OTA + pilots Phase III + 2–3 states + Guard SOP + OTA + MPP ODRA policy at scale + STRATFI

Market: TAM $60–95B · SAM $8–15B · /market-sizing

Revision history

Mixed room — generals + investors (Operation Studio, 2026-06-17)

Who is in the room: Former general officers (joint, SF, civil affairs, logistics) who know warfighting functions and NATO/CENTCOM context — plus Harvard investors who understand market, problem, solution, and fix without military jargon.

What to say (honest):

"We are not another monolithic C2 vendor. We are the synthesis layer that threads one operation across your existing stack — one missionId from intake through workspace tiles, fires, intel, sustainment, and audit. Four theaters ship today: Middle East, Russia/Ukraine+NATO, CENTCOM, and Korea fight-tonight. Every consequential act stays human-in-loop; OAI records what happened for reconstruction. When the network dies, DDIL store-forward keeps the mission alive — we prove that live, not in slides."

Live path: /operation-studio → pick theater → launch workspace → /api/prove/touch?behavior=1 on request.

What not to claim: Live classified COP, broker live-send on JTIC2S without endpoints, or FedRAMP authorized.
